Burnley will be getting back to Premier League action for the first time since January 2, when they will host Watford at the Turf Moor on Tuesday.
Burnley have dropped to the bottom of the table, three points behind 17th-placed Watford, but they have three games in hand on 19th-placed Newcastle United.
It has been a disappointing season for Burnley, who have recorded one win, eight draws and eight defeats from their 17 matches, collecting 11 points.
However, the Clarets are just one point behind 19th-placed Newcastle, who have played three games more, and two points behind Norwich who have played four more matches.
The Clarets will now hope to have recovered enough players in time to take to the field, having already seen their matches against Watford, Aston Villa and Everton postponed in December due to coronavirus outbreaks among the opposition sides.
Burnley have not been in action in the Premier League since losing 3-1 at Leeds United on January 2, but they also lost 2-1 to Huddersfield Town at home, with their last victory coming in October against Brentford in the Premier League.
On the other hand, Watford will enter the match off the back of a 1-1 draw with Newcastle on Saturday, with Joao Pedro equalising for the Hornets at the 87th minute.
That draw put an end to a run of seven straight defeats in all competitions, but Watford are still without a victory in the league since defeating Manchester United 4-1 on November 20.
The Hornets have matches against Burnley and Norwich before the end of the month, and they would fall into the relegation zone if they lose this game.
Watford have won two of their away games in the league this season, defeating Norwich and Everton, but they have lost their last two Premier League matches against Burnley.

Burnley’s situation ahead of this match is not clear having been without head coach Dyche and a number of first-team players against Huddersfield.
