Burnley vs Norwich City Match Analysis and Prediction

Both Burnley and Norwich will be looking for their first wins in the seventh round of Premier League when they lock horns at Turf Moore on Saturday with kickoff at 17:00.

Both sides have had disappointing starts to the new season and are both in relegation zone with Burnley being 19th with two points as they are yet to record any win, while they have drawn and lost four in their opening six matches.

Burnley’s winless run in the Premier League now stands at nine matches stretching back to last season and are in poor home form as they have not won a single league match at home in their last 13 games and have drawn one and lost two at Turf Moore so far this season.

However, Burnley head into the contest in an average form having lost only two of their last six matches across all competitions and are off the back of a win and draw. They won 4-1 against Rochdale in the third round of ELF Cup before drawing 2-2 against Leicester in Premier League with Jamie Vardy scoring a brace but for both sides. Thus, Sean Dyche’s side should be confident enough coming into this match.

Meanwhile, Norwich are at the bottom of the league standings with zero points having lost all their starting six matches. However, they don’t appear to be too worried yet having faced pretty tough opponents in those opening matches in form of Liverpool, Manchester City Leicester City and Arsenal, hence wouldn’t have anticipated too many points.

However, Norwich should use this match as turning point as they need to start to collecting points if they are going to evade relegation for the second in row. The Canaries have only collected one win this season across all competition as they beat Bournemouth 6-0 in the second round of the EFL Cup, but were knocked out with a 3-0 defeat t Liverpool in the third round.

Now they head into the match of the back of five defeats across all competitions including the 2-0 defeat at Everton last weekend and hence will be disparate to bounce back with a positive result here.

This will be fascinating and dramatic match to watch but I believe it will be a low scoring match and might end with 1-0 win for either side or a 0-0 stalemate.
