Brighton & Hove Albion vs Leicester City Match Analysis and Prediction

This weekend’s super Sunday will see Brighton welcome Leicester City to the Amex Community Stadium for their 5th round of the Premier League with kickoff at 16:00.

Brighton have made their best ever start to the Premier League having claimed three wins in their opening four matches and currently sit in the sixth position with nine points which is a big improvement for Graham Potters side who were number 16 with three points in the league standings last year.

The Seagull opened with back-to-back wins in the Premier League against  Burnley and Watford before also recording a win in the EFL Cup against Cardiff City. However, Brighton suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the in-form Everton but quickly bounced back to winning ways after beating Brentford 1-0 last weekend curtesy of a late goal from Leandro Trossard.

Graham potter’s side will now head into the match in a good form as their have only lost two of their last seven matches across all competitions and will be looking to maintain their strong form as they aim to claim a big scalp in the early stages of the season. However, that will not be an easy task as they face their toughest challenge so far in Leicester City who they haven’t actually beaten since 2014 and have lost five of their last six Premier League meetings including both fixtures last season.

Meanwhile Leicester City have made a mixed start to the Premier League recording two wins and two defeats in their opening four matches and currently sit in the ninth position with six points which is a drop for Brendan Rodgers’s side who were number three with nine points in the league standings last year.

Leicester head into the match off the back of 2-2 draw in a Europa League group stage opener with fellow competition favorites Napoli on Thursday night. The Foxes were a bit impressive and looked determined as they took the lead with two goals but conceded twice in the last 21 minutes to share the spoils win the Neapolitan giants.

As Mentioned earlier the Foxes have a good record against Brighton but the Sunday’s posses a tough challenge that Leicester will need to give everything to salvage points from the clash.
