Brighton & Hove Albion have made their best ever start to a Premier League campaign and will be looking to make it three wins from three matches when they welcome their toughest test thus far, Everton to the Amex on Saturday with kickoff at 17:00.
Brighton struggled last season finishing 16th with 41 points and only nine wins in their 38 matches but the Seagulls are flying high this season after opening with a 2-1 win over Burnley before recording a 2-0 win against Watford last weekend.
Graham Potter’s side also kept their momentum going into the match by beating Cardiff City 2-0 in the EFL Cup last Tuesday at the Amex and therefore, Graham will expect his side to keep their confidence as they look to break their last season’s home run, having only recorded four home league wins.
The Seagulls played out a goalless draw with Everton in the corresponding match last season but have lost two of their last three matches against the Toffees and thus we expect a really tough match as Rafa Benitez’s side should also be in full confidence.
Meanwhile Everton also made a strong start to their 2021-22 Premier League campaign following their 3-1 comeback win against Southampton on the opening weekend before claiming a point in the credible 2-2 draw against Leeds at Elland Road last weekend.
The Toffees pinned Leeds in two occasions with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Demarai Gray getting on the scoresheet but were pegged back in both occasions through Mateusz Klich and Raphinha.
Benitez’s side also kept their momentum coming to the Saturday’s match by beating a Championship outfit Huddersfield Town 2-1 with Alex Iwobi and Andros Townsend scoring for the Merseysiders and Benitez will expect his side to keep their confidence as they look for another positive result.
