Brescia and Monza will square off at the Stadio Mario Rigamonti in the first leg of their Serie A promotion playoff semi-final tie on Wednesday night with kickoff at 20:00.
Both side made impressive campaigns to earn places in the promotion-playoffs with Brescia recording a tally of 66 points from 38 matches to finish fifth in Serie B, while Monza claimed 67 points from 38 games to finish fourth in the standings.
However, Monza will be kicking themselves after suffering a final-day 1-0 loss to Perugia which saw them miss out on the automatic promotion places by just two points.
Brescia head into the match in a good form having only lost once in their last 11 matches across all competitions and are coming off a 3-2 extra time victory over Perugia at home in the opening playoff round. They have are also unbeaten in their last 12 home games including the weekends victory, and they will look to keep the juggernaut rolling on Wednesday.
Monza on the other hand, played last fixture in Serie B where they fell to Perugia 1-0. They now head into the clash having lost two of their last six league games. Their recent form is not encouraging with two defeats in their last three games, and they have lost three of their last four on the road games.
