Newcastle United will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run when they travel to the capital to take on Brentford at Brentford Community Stadium in a Premier League Matchday 27 encounter on Saturday evening with kickoff at 18:00.
Brentford made an excellent start to the Premier League and there is no denying the fact that they have been a great addition to the top-tier. However, the Bees seem to have run out of steam stringing together a seven-match with a win in the Premier League, claiming one draw while suffering six defeats in the run – including the 2-1 defeat at Arsenal last Saturday.
As result Frank Thomas side have dropped into the 14th spot, sitting on 24 points collected from 26 matches and are now just four points above the relegation zone, meaning that another slip-up on Saturday will leave them just a point above the relegation scrap.

In the Premier League, the last time the Magpies lost was back on Dec 19 when they succumbed to a 4-0 defeat to league leaders Man City.
After that Eddie Howe’s side have strung together a six-match unbeaten run in the top-flight claiming three wins and three draws in the run and are coming off a hard fought 1-1 draw against top-four chasers West Ham United.
Prior to that the Magpies had dispatched all Leeds, Everton and Aston Villa to climb out of the relegation zone and they now sit in 17th with two points above Burnley who occupy the last relegation spot.
With recent Burnley’s resurgent, Newcastle cannot afford to hit the break burton and thus will head into the match guns blazing for the maximum points and they certainly still are high on confidence right now.
