Premier League matchday eight brings an exciting London derby as a fired-up Brentford welcome Chelsea, who look to seal their top position in the league standings, to Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday with kickoff at 19:30.
Brentford have made a dream start to their life back to the Premier League having just lost one of their opening seven matches while recording three wins and three draws to collect 12 points that have left the in the seventh spot in the league standings.
The Bees have also proved that they are here to stay as they already won 2-0 against Arsenal and they followed up their pulsating 3-3 draw against Liverpool with a 2-1 win over an in-form West Ham United in their last Premier League match.
Frank Thomas head into the match in high confidence as they are a good form having only lost one of their last six matches across all competitions, recording three wins and two draws and have lost none of their last four matches. Also, Brentford have gone into Premier League history books as the first side to go unbeaten in their first three London derbies having recorded wins over both Arsenal and West Ham while drawing 0-0 with Crystal Palace.
Meanwhile Chelsea have made a strong start to the Premier League as they have claimed five wins, one draw and one defeat, collecting 16 points that have left them on top of the Premier League rankings.
However, things have been shaky for the Champions League champions who have just one of their last three matches across all competition, first suffering a 1-0 home defeat to Manchester City before recording another 1-0 away defeat to Juventus in the Champions League but managed to bounce back to winning ways with a 3-1 home win against Southampton.
The Blues though are in a good form having lost two of their last six matches across all competitions while winning all the other four and are in a good away form as they have just lost one of their last 12 away matches in the Premier League and are yet to lose an away match this season.
