Following their semi-final exit from the Taca de Portugal, Sporting Lisbon make a trip to the Estadio do Bessa to take on Boavista on Monday.
Meanwhile, the hosts will be deperate to get one over the visitors, having failed to win any of the last 16 meetings between the sides since 2014.
Boavista failed to claim a thrid win in a row for the first time this season last Saturday as they fell to a humiliating 4-0 defeat at the hands of Maritimo.
In what looked like a one-sided affair at the Estadio dos Barreiros, Matheus Costa broke the dreadlock in the 41st minute before Joel Tagueu scored a hat-trick to secure a ninth win of the season for the hosts.
Petit’s side are currently 12th in the Primeira Liga standings having collected 33 points from 30 matches, and could leapfrog Portimonense and Estoril Praia and move into the top half of the table with all three points on Monday.
While Panteras will aim to quickly return to winning ways, standing in their way is an opposing side who they have failed to defeat in their last 16 attempts since 2014, managing just two draws and losing on 14 occasions.
On the other hand, Sporting Lisbon exited the Taca de Portugal as they suffered a 1-0 defeat against rivals Porto when they met in the second leg of their semi-final clash last Thursday.
Leoes now turn their attention to the Primeira Liga, where they lost in their most recent game as Darwin Nunez and Gil Dias scored in either side of half-time to hand Benfica a 2-0 victory when the sides met last Sunday.
Ruben Amorim’s side have won 23, drawn four and lost three of their 30 games to collect 73 points and sit second in the league standings, nine points off leaders Porto.

Boavista remain without the services of Tiago Morais after he received a red card in the game against Maritimo, while Yanis Hamache is absent with a muscle problem he suffered against Belenenses in March.
Miguel Reisinho also continues his spell on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury last August.
Sporting Lisbon news
Full-back Zouhair Feddal remains out of contention for Sporting after picking up an injury in the game against Moreirense back in March.
Manchester City loanee Pedro Porro also misses out as he serves a one-game suspension for picking up a red card in the cup clash with Porto on Thursday.
Prediction and Odds
Although Boavista will be looking for their first victory since 2014 against their visitors, we are likely to see them fall short once again.
Meanwhile, the visitors will be looking to bounce back from their two succesive defeats, and we believe they will continue their dominance over Boavista with a win here.
