Blackpool are set to host Huddersfield Town this Tuesday September 14th in EFL Championship football action at the Bloomfield Road Stadium.
The hosts earned their first league win of the season in the weekend fixture against the league leaders, Fulham. The second-half strike from Josh Bowler gave the tangerines the win which was their only shot on target in the 49th minute.
Blackpool had failed to win any of their previous five Championship fixtures while also crashing out of the EFL Cup. Blackpool currently sit in 19th position in the table with five points on board after the six championship games.
Neil Critchley’s men needed a confidence booster to get into the league and they will be looking to for another victory to secure a safer position.
Huddersfield on the other hand, missed a chance to pick up a fourth consecutive league win as they lost against Stoke on Sunday in the match ending 2-1. This marked the first away match to lose this season and are currently placed position 9 with 10 points.
The defeat put an end to Huddersfield’s impressive three-game winning streak, including a 4-0 against Reading prior to the break and picked an outstanding 2-1 victory away from promotion hopefuls Sheffield United.
Huddersfield come to this match with the need to get back to their winning ways after losing the second game this season and this is expected to be an interesting match.
