Benfica and Vizela will kick of the round five of the Primeira Liga when they go head to head at the Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica on Friday.
The hosts head into the contest as the only team to have won their opening four league matches so far and will be looking to keep the form running.
Benfica maintained their perfect record in the new top flight campaign on Wednesday when they came back from behind to claim a 3-2 victory over Pacos Ferreira on home turf.
As Aguias have now won each of their last 14 matches across all competitions, a run which extends to May 7 when they were beaten 1-0 by Porto and saw them secure Champions League football at the expense of Midtjylland and Dynamo Kyiv.
With their Champions League Group H opener against Maccabi Haifa on the horizon, Roger Schmidt’ side will head into the weekend aiming to maintain their run of impressive performances and extend their lead at the top of the league standings.
Meanwhile Vizela will be satisfied with a points as they fought back from two goals down to claim a 2-2 draw against Gil Vicente at the Estadio do Vizela last Monday.
In an eventful first half, Fran Navarro and Juan Manuel Boselli scored in the opening half hour to put the visitors in a comfortable position, but Raphael Guzzo assisted Kiko Bondoso and Anderson in first-half injury time to force a share of the spoils.
This was the second successive draw for Vizela, who have managed one win from their opening four matches of the season.
While they will lokk to return to winning ways, they face a rampant Benfica side who are unbeaten in each of the last four meetings between the sides since 2017, claiming three wins and one draw.
