Arsenal vs Leicester City Match Analysis and Prediction

Arsenal will be looking to extend their winning streak in the Premier League when they welcome Leicester City to Emirates on Sunday night with kickoff at 19:30

Arsenal are coming off a stunning 3-2 victory over a struggling Watford with the youngsters stealing the show with stunning three goals that propelled the Gunners into fourth place. Although the goal of the day was deservedly awarded to Cucho Hernandez, but his stunning goal and Moussa Sissoko’s effort only proved to be consolations in the five-goal thriller.

The Gunners have now gone unbeaten in their last five Premier League matches, claiming four consecutive wins a run that leaves them in the fourth-place with a points above the fifth-placed Manchester United, but Mikel Arteta’s side has three matches in hand.

Arteta will not be counting so much on the in-hand games and he will stress the importance of maintaining their winning streak as fellow in-form Leicester City visit the Emirates. The Gunners will fancy their chances as they have been brilliant at home this season and only Manchester City and Liverpool have claimed more points at home so far.

Also the Gunners edged the Foxes 2-0 in the reverse fixture earlier in the season and they will want to perform a double over them.

There is no denying that Leicester City have been patchy this season, however they seem to have found their stride recently and are finally looking up. The Foxes did well to follow up their hard-fought 1-0 win against Leeds United with a professional display in the Conference League as they comfortably claimed a 2-0 win against Rennes at King Power.

The Foxes have now strung together a four match winning streak across all competition while have claimed five wins in their last six matches in all competitions. They have claimed back-to-back Premier League victories in run, which has seen rise into 12th, although, are level on 33 points with 11th-placed Crystal Palace and 13th-placed Brighton, while are just two points outside the top-half.

They therefore look to extend their winning streak as they aim at breaking into the top-half  and with three matches in hand on the 10th-placed Southampton, the Foxes will welcome the thoughts of finish in the top-half.
