Arouca and Famalicao wrap up the round nine of the Primeira Liga when they go head to head at the Estadio Municipal de Arouca on Monday.
While the hosts set out to end their five-game winless run, their visitors snapped their run of three consecutive defeats last time out and will be lloking to build on that result.
Arouca continue to struggle for results in the 2022-23 campaign as they could only managed to salvage a 1-1 draw with Pacos de Ferriera when the sides met at the Estadio Capital do Movel las Sunday.
The Arouquenses have now failed to win any of their last five matches, picking up three draws and losing twice since recording successive victories over Gil Vicente and Santa Clara back in August.
Arouca will fancy their chances of returning to winning ways on Monday as they face an opposing side against whom they are unbeaten in six of the last eight encounters between the sides, securing five wins and one draw since July 2016.
Meanwhile, Famalicao returned to winning ways in fashion as they picked up a 4-0 home victory over Boavista when the teams met last Monday.
Prior to that, Vila Nova were beaten in each of their three matches in September, suffering defeats to Portimonense, Benfica and Casa Pia while failing to score in that time.
Joao Pedro Sousa’s side have now picked up two wins, one draw and lost five of their opening eight matches to collect seven points and sit 15th in the league table, two points above Santa Clara in the relegation playoff spot.
While Famalicao will be looking to pick up back-to-back victories for the first time this season, they have struggled to perform on the road, where they are winless in their four matches, collecting one point froma possible 12.

Arouca news
Sema Velazquez continues his lengthy spell on the sidelines as the defender is yet to feature this year after suffering an ACL injury back in September 2021.
He is joined on the Arouca injury table by Celtic loanee Ismaila Soro, which means that Oriol Busquets could come into the side.
Famalicao news
Famalicao will take to the pitch without the services of Spanish duo of Ivan Jaime and Martin Aguirregabiria, who are currently recuperating from injuries.
Diogo Queiros has been out of action for the visitors since May’s game against Belenenses and the defender is set to continue his spell on the sidelines.
Prediction and Odds
While Famalicao will be looking to build on their victory over Boavista, they have struggled for results away from home so far this season.
However, they face an opposing side who are without a win in five successive matches. So, we expect a close contest with the visitors taking at least a point.
