Both sides will be looking to bounce back to winnings ways in UEFA Nations League when they face off at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in their Group B1 round five tie on Saturday evening.
Last time Armenia were in action was back in June where they fell to a 4-1 home defeat to Scotland. The result extend their losing streak to three matches in the competitions as they were previously coming off 3-0 away defeat to Ukraine and a 2-0 away defeat to Scotland.
Armenia have only managed one win if their four group matches so far, and they currently sit at the bottom of Group B1 on three point, only a point off their safety and four points behind their Saturday visitors.
With two matches remaining to go, Armenia have a lot work on to avoid a relegation to League C of the competition. A win on Saturday will see them go two points above third-placed Ireland, who play group leaders Scotland next, something they need to take advantage of.
Meanwhile Ukraine have done well in the group considering all that has happened to the country few a few months ago. They have won two and drawn one of their four matches in Group B1 and currently sit second on seven points, two points behind the leaders Scotland.
Ukraine suffered a 3-0 defeat to the Scotts at away last Wednesday in their postponed round two tie. They will now be looking to bounce back to winning ways as they hope to climb top of the group, but that will depend on results from elsewhere.
The Ukrainians claimed a 3-0 home win when they first met Armenia in Group B1 this season, which marked their third win in the last five matches against the Armenians. They will therefore feel confident of bouncing back on Saturday.
