Argentina will be looking to end their FIFA World Cup preparations on a high note when they take on Jamaica at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey on Wednesday morning.
Argentina finished in second place in the CONMEBOL qualification standings, booking their place in the Qatar World Cup finals to come under two months from now. The South American giants have excelled under Lionel Scaloni and have indeed built an excellent form going into the World Cup.
Argentina eased past Honduras last time out in an international friendly match by a 3-0 margin, extending their unbeaten run to well over 30 matches across all competitions. They have won their last three though, scoring 11 times while conceding none in return and they will want to keep that form flowing on Wednesday as they look to bring a brilliant form to the world’s football biggest stage.
Jamaica on the other hand failed to qualify for the World Cup this year but have grown in statue in recent times. They held Qatar to a 1-1 draw last time out and will looking to take things up a notch on Wednesday.
However they face an in-form Argentina, who they have fallen to in their last three meetings, and they will need to bring more than their best game here.
