Andorra vs Liechtenstein Match Analysis and Prediction

Both Andorra and Liechtenstein will be looking for their first victories when they lock horns at the Estadi Nacional in the third round of the UEFA Nations League on Friday night.

Andorra opened their 2022-23 UEFA Nations League campaign with a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Latvia at away, before being held to a 0-0 draw by Moldova in their second fixture. They have won just two of their last six international games across all competitions, suffering three defeats in the run, and sit third in Group 1 of League D.

A defeat on Friday could see them go eight points behind the top spot, which would put them in a tricky to position to try and come back to win the group. Also it will leave them at the bottom of the group something they will be looking to avoid. Andorra need a win to keep their hopes for a promotion alive.

Meanwhile Liechtenstein will also be looking for their opening victory having both their first two games. They opened with a 2-0 defeat to Moldova, before succumbing to a narrow 1-0 defeat to leaders Latvia on Monday. They have now suffered defeats in their last consecutive eight matches across all competitions, while have failed to win any of their last 20 matches.

Therefore, they will be desperate to put an end to their poor and disappointing run on Friday, although they will have to be at their best to get maximum points in the clash. A defeat on Friday will see them left behind by four points, which will be tricky for them to get off the bottom.
