Almeria and Girona return to the action in the second leg of the Segunda playoffs semi-finals this Saturday at Estadio de las Juegos Mediterraneos with kickoff at 22:00.
Girona are currently in a brilliant form as they have not lost in their last nine matches including the 3-0 win over Almeria in the first leg last Thursday, a game in which Girona produced a flawless performance and will head into the second leg with a massive 3-0 advantage on aggregate.
In last seasons’ Segunda playoffs, the visiting team won both legs against their hosts and after that 3-0 win at home surely, they are confident of doing the same this season.
Meanwhile, Almeria head into the second leg hoping for a miracle as they look to overturn a 3-0 deficit today at home. They were shambolic in the first leg finishing without a single attempt on target while also struggling with constant defensive errors.
The home team will also have to contend with their poor home form as they have only claimed one win in their last seven fixtures even though five of them ended in draws and will need to work on their defense as the visitors have not lost any of their last four away matches.

Both teams have met 17 times since 2011 with Almeria being the better side in this fixture with eight wins compared to Girona’s four wins and five matches ended in draws. However, Girona’s four wins have come since 2020 with three coming in crucial playoff fixtures. Take a look;
