Sunday’s final Serie A action presents a massive league blockbuster as two heavy weights take on each other with AC Milan welcoming Juventus to San Siro for the crucial fixture with kickoff at 22:45.
AC Milan have had their fair share of ups and downs this season but generally Milan have made an impressive league campaign with the club claiming 15 wins and three draws from their 22 matches while giving away points in only four of those in the process and they have spent most of the campaign in the top two positions in the table.
However, their title chase suffered a stumble in their last Serie A outing, as they fell to a shocking 2-1 defeat to Spezia. The result has them now sitting two points behind their city rivals Inter Milan who sit at the summit of the table with a game in hand.
The Rossoneri will therefore be looking to bounce back as they aim at keeping in touch with Inter in the title race.
Meanwhile Juventus made an unconvincing start to the campaign with the club failing to pick-up maximum points in their opening four matches. However, the Old Lady managed to find their stride along the way and have recently been on an upward trajectory in the league. They currently sit in the fifth spot on 41 points collected form their 22 matches and are just one point outside the top-four, though they have played one match more than the fourth-placed Atalanta.
They are still some 11 points behind Inter Milan and they need to continue winning if they are to reduce the gap. They are in a good form as they are unbeaten in their last eight Serie A matches and coming off back-to back wins against Udinese in the league and Sampdoria in the Coppa Italia.
Massimiliano Allegri will be hoping that his side are confident enough heading into the fixture and will be looking to continue their surge up the table.
