Aberdeen shall attempt to get back to winning ways when they welcome the in-form Celtic to Pittodrie Stadium for a Premiership battle on Wednesday night with kickoff at 22:45.
Aberdeen have been inconsistent this season with the club recording eight wins, five draws and 11 defeats from their 24 matches to collect 29 points, which have left them sitting seventh on goal difference over Livingston and St Mirren and are three points above 10th placed Ross County.
Their struggle for form continued last time out when they fell to a 2-1 away defeat against 10-men Livingston on Saturday. The defeat saw them extend their winless run to four matches in the Premiership a run responsible for their slip down into the bottom half of the table.
A defeat on Tuesday could potentially leave them in the 10th spot, while a win could see them move up into fifth. Therefore the Dons will be looking to bounce back in this match as they aim at climbing back into the top half while avoiding a further drop in the standings, but they face an opposition they have already fallen to twice this season.
Celtic have made a strong campaign this season with the club recording 19 wins, three draws and three defeats from their 25 matches to collect 60 points which have left them sitting in at the top of the league with one point above their fierce rivals Rangers.
The Hoops are in a strong form as they have now put together a 15-match unbeaten run in the cross all competitions, a run that has seen them overtake Rangers to the top spot I the title race and also saw them make it to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.
Ange Postecoglou’s men are indeed in high spirits as they are coming off a seven-match winning streak including the 4-0 win against Motherwell at away last weekend, a win that followed the 3-0 dismantling of Rangers.
With now just one point keeping them above the Gers, Celtic will look to maintain their winning streak in the Tuesday’s clash as they aim at keeping their advantage in the title race.
