South Africa will be looking to record a third consecutive win in the ongoing COSAFA Cup tournament when the come head to head with Lesotho this Tuesday at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium with kickoff at 9:00 AM.

South Africa come into match having opened their campaign in determination with two wins including the 1-0 against Botswana in their opening fixture and another 1-0 win against Eswatini in their following match.

Bafana Bafana now occupy the second spot in Group A standings with six points in two matches and are level on points with Eswatini who hold the first place with six points in three matches.

Bafana Bafana head into the match in a good form as they have only lost and drawn once in their last five matches with a winning streak of three matches across all competitions. They will be determined and confident of recording their third win of the tournament as they look to move a step closer to the last four.

Lesotho on the other hand will be looking to bounce back to winning ways as they look to move to the top-two position following their heartbreaking 4-0 defeat to Botswana on Saturday. Prior to the big loss, Likuena started off their campaign with a 3-1 loss to Eswatini in their opener but bounced back to a 2-1 win against Zambia and are now occupying the fourth position in the group standings with three points in three matches.

With now only one match remaining for Lesotho they will be desperate for a win coming into this match and I believe that they can pull an upset here since they have won with three goals in each of their last two meetings against Bafana Bafana. However, it won’t be easy for them as they have only managed to win one match in their last 14 matches dating back to 2019.
