Baltic Cup reigning champions Latvia welcomes the out of form Lithuania to Daugava National Stadium in Latvia for a Cup competition on Friday with kickoff at 19:00.
Latvia will be kickstarting their battle for a 14th Baltic cup trophy in the tomorrow match, while Lithuania have already suffered a 1-0 defeat at home against Estonia thanks to a second half goal from Henri Anier.
The hosts are currently in an average form and will be heading into the clash off the back of a 3-3 draw to Turkey back in March in a World Cup qualifying match. Prior to the draw, Latvia suffered two defeats in a row in the hands of The Netherlands and Montenegro.
Up next for Latvia will be the friendly against Germany sandwiched between their next Baltic Cup clash against Estonia.
Lithuania will be looking to return to winning ways as they head into the match off the back of four defeats in a row including the 0-1 against Estonia in their opening match of Baltic Cup.
The visitors are currently in a poor form as they have only won one match of their last six games and have been struggling with both their attacking and defending ends in the field as they have conceded 11 goals and only scored two in that run.
Lithuania also have an interesting up next friendly match against Spain on Tuesday next week.
