Real Madrid vs Granada Match Analysis & Prediction
02/12/2023 8:30 pm
On Saturday afternoon, La Liga leaders Real Madrid host Granada, one of the worst teams in La Liga this season, at Madrid’s Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.
Despite only winning the Copa del Rey, last season could be described as a failure for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Los Blancos ended the season 10 points behind Barcelona, but to be fair, considering that they only lost their last four games, when it was already clear that Barcelona had earned one point. And the difference could have been even bigger.
Despite major injury problems this year, Real Madrid has performed well in La Liga and the Champions League. Los Blancos are currently at the top of the league table, with the same number of points as Girona. Ancelotti’s side are top of their group in the UCL, joining Manchester City as the only team to have achieved the maximum number of points.
In recent years, Granada has become a team that constantly moves back and forth between La Liga and La Liga 2.
Last season, they won promotion after winning two La Liga titles, but this season hasn’t gone as planned, with them in 19th place with seven points after 14 matches. Furthermore, in a cup match, Nazaris suffered a crushing defeat to Tercera’s team, Arosa SC.
Because of this poor start, they tried to change the team’s weak dynamics by changing managers before the game against Real Madrid, but it will be interesting to see if that makes a difference.

Granada Team News
On November 27, the club fired manager Paco López and replaced him with Alexander Medina. The Uruguayan coach spent his career in South America with Nacional, Talleres, Internacional, and Vere Sarsfield.
Central defenders Miguel Rubio and Jesus Vallejo are expected to be the only injured players for the next game. However, Rubio is currently on loan from Real Madrid and will likely not play in this match.
