Valencia will be seeking their first victory in La Liga since the end of October when they travel to Balaidos on Sunday to play Celta Vigo.
The visitors currently sit 11th in the table, having collected 19 points from their first 15 matches of the season, while Celta Vigo are 13th, three points behind Valencia.
Celta Vigo secured their place in the second round of the Copa del Rey on Tuesday through a 5-0 away victory over Ebro, before beating Alaves 2-1 in La Liga last weekend.
Eduardo Coudet’s side are heading into the Sunday’s match on a five-game unbeaten run, including draws against Barcelona and Villarreal in their last two home fixtures in the league.
They have recorded four wins, four draws and seven defeats from 15 matches, collecting 16 points, which has left them in position 13 on the table.
Celta Vigo were in a good form in La Liga last season, finishing 8th, and they will definately be motivated to achieve a top-half finish this season.
The Sky Blues lost 2-0 away to Valencia when they last had an encounter in February, but they had already won 2-1 at home in their previous encounter.
Meanwhile, Valencia also advanced to the second round of the Copa del Rey campaign after beating Utrillas 3-0 .
They are currently on a four-game undefeated run in the league, but have not won since their 2-0 home victory over Villarreal on October 30. They have since drawn in three matches against Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad and Rayo Valecano.
They have earned 19 points from 15 matches leaving the 11th in the table, four points behind seventh-placed Barcelona.
Valencia finished 13th in La Liga last season, which was their worst season since claiming 14th spot in 1987-88.
